Turning Purina Product Discovery into Play

How might we make product discovery feel fun, intuitive, and personalized using AR?
The process
I led the end-to-end design of an AR scavenger hunt for Purina, turning early research into a polished, playful experience. Through UX strategy, prototyping, and collaboration across 3D and development, we delivered a branded moment that felt seamless from start to finish.

I conducted in-depth research, developing four detailed user personas, analyzing social media trends, and performing a competitive analysis to highlight Purina’s unique strengths.

This research informed my development of four gameplay options. I quickly mocked up each concept and presented them to the client, who selected the fourth one.

I created low-fidelity storyboards to define gameplay, interactions, and user flow. I also explored visual styles to shape a clear and cohesive design direction.

Results
The project was a success from day one—users engaged easily, and the client was thrilled with how smoothly everything came together. That outcome was no accident. Establishing a clear design direction early on made the high-fidelity work seamless and ensured that every detail aligned across teams. It reinforced how thoughtful planning upfront leads to confident execution later.
